At The Market Plaice Fishmongers our mission is to retain the traditional fishmonger experience while offering our discerning customers the finest quality seafood. With a huge range of fish and shellfish from seabass, bream and cod to mussels, scallops, clams, lobster and more, you can satisfy all your tastes for the sea under one roof. We are open from Tuesday to Saturday, so pop in for superior quality seafood that will delight you, your family, and your friends.
Our fresh fish is bought directly by us from local fishing vessels through Plymouth fish auctions and sold to the people of Plymouth. Thanks to being part of the Rex Down Fish Merchants’ family we can also source the best produce from further afield to offer the best quality available.
Locally sourced seafood is caught and delivered to our door daily, and we offer both fresh and frozen options to suit your needs. Our friendly staff excel at customer service and will prepare your produce just the way you like it.
We also stock delicious homemade sauces to complement any meal and can give advice on cooking methods and mouth-watering recipes, so visit us for expert advice and exceptional seafood that is second to none.
